Home > Dancing in Unity: Madison Foster

Madison Foster, age 12, will perform with GLOW in Motion and Men in Motion dancers on March 14, 2020 in ‘Unity.’

You’ve danced here for three years. What do you like most about the program?

I get to express myself freely, without anybody judging me.

The spring show this year is called ‘Unity.’ What does unity mean to you?

It means coming together despite all your differences.

Do you think there’s enough unity in the world right now? If not, what would you change?

We can do better. I would change the way people treat each other every day. Like hate comments and being rude to others, I would change that.

How can you and other young people create more unity?

Our everyday conversations, we can make them positive and encourage each other.

What are you most looking forward to about the show?

Everything, because we’ve been working really hard.

How do you want the audience to feel when they watch the performance?

I want them to get the message in the dance. That despite our differences we have so many things to offer together.

You can see Madison perform in Unity on March 14, 2020 at 7 PM.
