Naim Johnson, age 12, will perform with Men in Motion and GLOW in Motion dancers on March 14, 2020 in ‘Unity.’
The name of the show you’re working on is called ‘Unity.’ What does unity mean to you?
Coming together and being able to hold one another up.
Do you think there’s enough unity in our world? If not, what would you change?
I feel that we should not have so much separation between religions, races, genders, sexual orientations, and things like that because everybody’s really just human. They have no control over how they are born so hating someone or causing two people to be separated for something they have no control over, it’s unfair. And separation between countries doesn’t really make sense because it’s nobody’s land. It’s the earth.
If we just stay more connected, I feel like everybody would be a lot happier because a lot of people don’t really want to be separated or have wars, that’s scary.
What do you think you and other young people can do to create more unity?
Be nicer to one another.
What are you looking forward to about the show?
That feeling you have after you finish a show, because you got all that work done.
How do you want audiences to feel when they your performance?
Happy and inspired!
