What does it mean to lead?
I think it means that you’re responsible and respectful and that you know what you’re doing so that the people who look up to you know what to do.
What can you do to lead our world?
I have a little brother, so at home I try to make sure he’s growing up to be as good of a person as I am. If my parents aren’t home, and me and my brother are at home with my grandparents, I try to help out. At school, I try to lead my friends, because they get confused sometimes, so I have to help them out.
What do you think of when you hear “GLOW in Motion?”
I think it means that more girls should be doing more things. In history class, we learn how women didn’t have as many rights as men did back then, so it’s kind of a cool thing to be able to do things that other people didn’t get to do.
What piece in the show makes you feel the most like a leader?
I think World’s Greatest makes me feel the most like a leader because it’s like telling the world, “look I’m here, I’m great.” And I get to express that through the movements and Ms. Alina helps us feel the movements while we’re doing them.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from being in GLOW in Motion?
I learned, honestly, that it’s important to listen because if you don’t listen then you can miss everything and you end up being confused and frustrate. So I’ve learned that it’s important to pay attention to everything and make sure that you’re doing it in the best way possible.
