Jordan Scudder, 8, 3rd grade

What is a hero?

Heroes take a lot of responsibility to handle specific jobs. They have to do what they have to do to get it done. They don’t necessarily have to have powers, but the one thing they need is courage. In the process, you have to save, save as in if you were to get someone to love you, it would save them from hate and things like that.

Who are your heroes? Why do you look up to them?

God is my hero because he saved us and he’s still saving us from hate. He helps you whenever you need help. My other heroes are my mom, my cousins, and my aunties. Because they are responsible, they persevere, they are brave, and they are diligent.

Do you see yourself as a hero of tomorrow? In what ways?

At school, I help my friends and my classmates. I help them with their work to make sure they get it done. They are also heroes to me, especially when I miss things.

What is your favorite dance in the show? Why did you choose that one?

The piece that we do with Mr. Lawrence because it lets me express myself, lets me realize that I’m more than just Jordan. I’m a hero.

Come out to The Beam Theater on February 20 & 21 to see Jordan dance with Men in Motion! Eventbrite - 13 Annual Men in Motion Show
