Jaclyn Barber
Teaching Artist

Jaclyn Barber was raised near Asheville, NC where she first got a taste for dance at the age of 12.  She immediately became involved in children’s theatre and dance.  Later, she attended Western Carolina University’s acting program.  She graduated with a BFA in acting for stage and screen and minored in dance. Film became a big love for Jaclyn at WCU, so upon graduation, she moved to Wilmington, NC where she was known for her stand-in work on Eastbound and Down and the independent film, River Guard. She quickly decided to come to Atlanta to pursue her career in film acting.  Her latest work has been a feature in the new film Table 19 staring Anna Kendrick and Wyatt Russell.  However, Jaclyn still has the urge to dance and choreograph more. Her latest choreography has been seen in EDIN’s Annual Celebrity Dance Challenge to make awareness for eating disorders, with dance partner Brian Moote from the Bert Show, and The Addams Family at Pope High School.  She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and modern for over 12 years, and is excited to continue that passion with Moving in the Spirit.
