What does the name YASS: Young Artistic Strong Sisters mean to you?
It means finding your artsy being inside of you, doing what you love through dance or anything.
Which of the pieces in the show is your favorite? Why?
I like State of the World because it’s telling you about what’s happening in the world and opening your eyes.
What do you hope to be when you get older? Why?
I either want to be a lawyer or an Olympian. I want to be an Olympian because I’m really good at swimming and a lawyer because I want to help innocent people.
What advice would you give a girl your age who wasn’t feeling confident?
I would tell her be whoever you want to be, just listen to you and be you and do whatever you want to do.
Why do you think it’s important for girls to be leaders?
It’s important because the world needs to know that girls can be leaders, too.
How do you show strength in your performance and in your life?
I show strength by being faithful and smiling, believing in my family and friends, that they will stand by me and support me in everything I do.
