Congratulations to dancer Kai Lewis, winner of an 11 Alive Kids Who Care Award!

Kai has danced with Moving in the Spirit for ten years and graduated this past May from the Horizons School. Her commitment to inspiring hope and action in others through the art of dance captured the hearts of the Kids Who Care selection committee. We’re thrilled to celebrate Kai as the true embodiment of a bold, fierce compassionate young leader.

As an award winner, Kai will receive a $1,100 scholarship from 11Alive, The Junior League of Atlanta and Arby’s Foundation, which will help her as she heads off to Columbia College in Chicago this fall.

The Kids Who Care Special airs on

  • Saturday, August 2 at 7:30p.m. on WXIA-TV
  • Sunday, August 10 at 10:30p.m. on WXIA-TV’s sister-station WATL-TV, Channel 36.

A shorter version of Kai’s story will air on Wednesday, July 30 at 7 PM on The Daily 11 at 7 with Brenda Wood.
