Operation P.E.A.C.E.

In 1995, Edna Moffett led a team of 33 college students to form Operation PEACE, a homework club for 20 inner-city, K-12 students. The club had humble beginnings, establishing operations in a basement laundry room.

The founding vision was to present children with positive adult images during their most formative years, in order to counteract the abundance of violence and adversity putting them at risk of juvenile delinquency. Operation PEACE serves more than 150 young people per year in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward.

Moving in the Spirit provides weekly dance classes at Hope-Hill Elementary School for young people involved with Operation P.E.A.C.E.
