12 people. 2 vans. 200 miles.
1 amazing cause.
This November 4-5, 2016, twelve friends will run a Ragnar race to raise $6,000 in scholarships for children and teens at Moving in the Spirit. Impacting hundreds of children each year, Moving in the Spirit uses the art of dance to cultivate within young people the critical social and emotional skills they need to thrive, helping them transition into adulthood as confident, resilient, compassionate leaders.
The Ragnar racers are conquering 200 miles of roads and trails with grit, determination, and let’s face it, probably more than a wee bit of coffee. Help them reach their fundraising goal by making a donation today!
A 200-mile overnight relay race is not for the faint of heart. Many would refer to it as a triumph of the human spirit, especially since all 12 team members run three multiple-mile stretches over 2 days and one night.
The race, dubbed “Ragnar,” is a series of trail and relay races that are held in some of the most beautiful locales in the United States.
The team will begin in San Francisco and race down into Napa Valley — hence their punny name, “No Wining in the Van.”
Our intrepid van-packing, overnight running, relay rockstars are Mark Allen, Mignon Crawford, Mark Diluzio, Nick Diluzio, John Earles, Krista Hilton, Scott Inman, Jeff Muscarella, Ross Mansbach, Eric Upin, Sarah Matthews, Tim Walter and Marion Maassen.
And now, an inspiring message from Dana Lupton, Executive/Artistic Director of Moving in the Spirit…
